Pazienza

Seven tracks that trace the history of the clarinet in Jazz and Swing through the styles revolving around the African-American tradition. Among the works of great composers, from Miller to Barris, to Rainger, there is also a special tribute to Tony Scott (Requiem for 'Hot Lips' Page) on the occasion of his centenary. Tony Scott himself represents an important artistic reference for Michele, who in 2017 was awarded the 'Tony Scott Clarinet Award' in Salemi, the birthplace of the American musician's family. The album concludes with the original track 'Pazienza,' which, with its title and sound, describes the process of creating this work, from spontaneous birth to thoughtful development. Uliana is accompanied by pianist Giacomo Li Volsi, bassist Beppe Pilotto, and drummer Martino Vittori. On the cover is an illustration created by Alessandro Bedendo using pencils and pastels.
