My Standards

Renowned pianist Michele Giro introduces his brand new album “My Standards”, a collection of original compositions in which elements of classical chamber music blend with typical jazz harmonies and rythms, balancing between experimentation and a compositive and improvisational approach that can be as unique as possible. The classic Michele’s lineup, grown between Bolzano and Salzburg, get influenced by the jazz approach and therefore Bach’ counterpoints meet Jarret’s complex language and structures, shaping new unexplored musical landscapes. Along with Michele, the usual companions with whom he’s been sharing the stages for more than eight years now, drummer Roman Hinteregger and double-bass player Marco Stagni.
